“Roy’s Motel by Day”

I stopped for a photo opportunity at Roy’s Motel and Café in the Mojave desert town of Amboy, California whilst travelling along old Route 66 back in 2015. When ROy’s opened in 1938, it was the only place to stop in the town for gas, food and a bed for the night.
