A Hand-Painted A-Z Book of Animals for Curious Little Explorers
Hand-painted watercolour illustrations

The Story Behind the Book
What started as a one-off gift for a friend’s baby has turned into a project that’s captured the hearts of those who have seen it.
After painting a picture of an Alpaca, one thing led to another, and before long, I was working my way through the alphabet.
I imagined that each animal portrait was a passport photo, and I decided to create a special keepsake bilingual A-Z book with Irish translations for baby Tomás, featuring some animals that are different from the usual classics.
My hope is that through different translations, I can help little ones learn and explore, and imagine where the animals might be going on holiday with their passports.
Each animal has been lovingly hand-painted in watercolour by me, and each has its own personality.
That’s how Animal Passports was born — an A–Z collection of animal “passport photos” designed to inspire curiosity, language learning, and a love of travel.
There’s so much more to come from Animal Passports with other products, and story books all in the pipeline, so I hope you join me on this exciting journey.
About the Book
Animal Passports is a joyful, educational picture book featuring 26 hand-painted animals - one for every letter of the alphabet.
Each page shows the animal’s name in English, and in the bilingual editions, the animal name is translated, helping young readers discover new words while meeting friendly faces from around the world.
